Dr. Wally Joseph
Dr. Wally Joseph

Dr. Wally Joseph, DNP ARNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Wally Joseph, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, is a dual board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and certified family nurse practitioner. He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate from Azusa Pacific University in California. He received his Master of Science in Nursing degree, specializing as a family nurse practitioner, from South University.

Dr. Joseph possesses strong clinical skills and a natural ability to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families. He believes excellent healthcare requires both caring for patients and genuinely caring about their lives and overall well-being. His clinical approach combines evidence-based guidelines with professional experience, careful observation, and sound clinical judgment.

Before founding Essential Clinic, Dr. Joseph worked at Foresight Mental Health. He also served as the lead nurse practitioner at Palliative Care Doctors Group, where he provided care to patients at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital, assisted-living communities, board-and-care homes, and skilled nursing facilities. In this role, he delivered highly individualized, patient- and family-centered care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life throughout the disease process.

In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Joseph serves as a nurse practitioner preceptor and educator, helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals. He is affiliated with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds national board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Dr. Joseph is fluent in English, Spanish, and French, allowing him to provide culturally responsive care to patients from diverse backgrounds. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys reading, running, hiking, and spending meaningful time with his family and friends. He is guided by the belief that “a life of service is a life well lived.”


Dr. Joseph Morris

Dr. Joseph Morris, PhD, ARNP, AGNP, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Morris is a Bio-behavior Psychotherapist. He is passionate about working with clients to create a treatment plan that utilizes current holistic approaches so that they can feel better. His goal is to empower people to be their best in an effort to live a rewarding and productive life.

Dr. Morris’ education includes a doctoral degree with emphasis placed on biological behaviors of the brain. He is also nationally recognized as a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a sub-specialty in anger management. His areas of clinical focus include treating diverse individuals, couples, and family members from ages 18 to 100 years living with mental health disorders. He has a distinct interest in using various treatment options, which include multiple mental health therapies, medication management, and psychoeducation to help individuals cope with anger issues, aggressive behaviors, anxiety, addiction, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, bipolar, eating, psychotic, Schizoaffective, sleeping, motivation, self-esteem, and other mental health disorders.


Brittney Fisher

Brittney Fisher ARPN, MSN, FNP-BC

Brittney is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in the healthcare field. Known for her compassionate approach, Brittney has built a reputation as a caring and empathetic healthcare provider. Her passion for helping others is evident in every patient interaction, where she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being of those in her care. David Boyle

David Boyle ARNP, MSN, PMHNP-BC

David Boyle is a dedicated and compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner, known for his deep commitment to patient care and mental health advocacy. With years of experience in psychiatric nursing, David has developed a strong understanding of the complexities of mental health conditions and the importance of personalized, empathetic care. His approach to treatment is centered on building trusting relationships with his patients, offering a safe and supportive environment for them to express their concerns. Junier Torres

Junier Torres APRN, MSN-FNP

Junier Torres is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate primary and urgent care. He specializes in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, providing preventive care, health screenings, and medication management.

Junier earned his Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner studies from South University and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of the Sacred Heart, graduating with honors. He also earned his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences in Santiago de Cuba.

With six years of experience, Junier values clear communication, teamwork, and personalized care that help every patient achieve better health.


Priscilla Munoz

Priscilla Munoz LMSW, CSW-Intern

Priscilla is a Clinical Social Work Intern committed to providing compassionate, strengths-based care to individuals and families. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Priscilla ensures accessibility and inclusivity for diverse communities, creating a safe and supportive environment for her clients.

With expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed practices, Priscilla empowers her clients to heal, grow, and build resilience. She takes a holistic approach to care, working collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths and develop personalized strategies to overcome challenges.

Daphne Franks

Daphne Franks LMSW, CSW-Intern

Daphne Franks is a Clinical Social Work Intern who brings a calm, grounded presence to her work and is genuinely passionate about supporting people through meaningful change. She approaches therapy with compassion, curiosity, and a steady focus on helping clients feel understood and empowered in their own lives.

Her practice draws from solution-focused work, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, and she values collaboration as clients explore their experiences, strengths, and goals. Daphne is dedicated to creating a space that feels safe, peaceful, and supportive, where clients can move at their own pace while building practical strategies that fit their everyday lives.

She believes deeply in the importance of connection, growth, and meeting clients where they are, and she is committed to walking alongside them as they navigate challenges and discover what helps them feel grounded and hopeful.

Cristina Contreras

Cristina Contreras, LMSW, CDW-I

Cristina Contreras, LMSW, CDW-I is a compassionate Clinical Social Work Intern with experience in behavioral health, pediatric hospice and palliative care, medical social work, and case management. She is skilled in psychosocial assessments, crisis de-escalation, establishing healthy boundaries, prioritizing client needs, and connecting individuals and families with helpful community resources.

Cristina has supported clients facing chronic illness, grief, homelessness, and other complex life challenges. She works collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide respectful, culturally sensitive, and client-centered care. Cristina is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and encouraged throughout their healing journey.
